ROBERT POOL

Neo-Architectural Design

Skilled craftsmanship and innovative design are two distinctive hallmarks of Texas furniture designer Robert Pool. Since 1995, he has specialized in one-of-a-kind designs ranging in style from modern to arts and crafts.

With a deep appreciation for reclaimed materials, Robert incorporates a vast amount of salvaged moulding and recovered architecturals. The result is a stunning variety of original furniture pieces and decorative accessories characterized by the rich patina and deep warmth of century-old wood, zinc, copper and other aged materials.

The artist also specializes in selecting vintage and antique furniture and accessories to re-interpret by restructuring and adding architectural elements, gilding and other finishes.

Robert’s expertise in furniture refinishing, gilding, veneer work and woodcarving is highly sought after by clients seeking antique restoration and furniture modification.

After spending nearly a decade in Louisiana gaining inspiration from the exquisite architecture and vibrant culture of New Orleans, Robert and wife Martha returned to Texas in 2005. His state-of-the-art design studio is located at 14531 Ranch Road 1431 West, near the shores of Lake LBJ in Kingsland, Texas just one hour northwest of Austin.
